The Glock-18 is a semi-automatic pistol with a burst-fire mode, exclusive to the Terrorist side in Counter-Strike 2. It is the default T starting pistol and is the most commonly used weapon on Terrorist pistol rounds.

Overview

The Glock-18 is the free starting pistol for Terrorists. It features a generous 20-round magazine with 120 reserve rounds, making it the highest-capacity starting pistol. The Glock-18 has a unique burst-fire mode that fires three rounds rapidly, which can be devastating at close range against unarmored opponents.

However, the Glock-18 has notably low armor penetration at only 47%, making it significantly weaker against armored opponents in later rounds. Its primary strength lies in pistol rounds, where opponents typically lack armor and its high magazine capacity allows for aggressive plays.

Usage Tips

  • On pistol rounds, the Glock-18 high magazine capacity (20 rounds) allows aggressive plays and rushing.
  • Burst-fire mode (press the alternate fire key) fires 3 rounds rapidly, deadly at close range.
  • Close the distance on pistol rounds. The Glock-18 is most effective in close-quarters where burst-fire and volume of fire overwhelm opponents.
  • The Glock-18 is weak against armor so in later rounds, it is almost useless unless you hit headshots.
  • Running and shooting is somewhat viable with the Glock-18 due to its high movement accuracy compared to other weapons.
  • Aim for the head because body shots deal minimal damage, especially against armored opponents.

Competitive Meta

The Glock-18 defines Terrorist pistol round strategy. Teams typically exploit its strengths by rushing a bombsite with numbers, using the 20-round magazine and burst fire to overwhelm defenders at close range. Buying utility (smokes, flashes) on pistol rounds enhances the effectiveness by enabling teams to close the distance safely.

After the pistol round, the Glock-18 is generally replaced as soon as the economy allows for a better weapon purchase.
