The Active Duty map pool contains the 7 maps used in Counter-Strike 2's Premier competitive mode and Valve Major tournaments. These maps receive the most balance updates and are the focus of professional play.

Current Active Duty Maps

• Dust II — Morocco. The most iconic CS map. Balanced, aim-heavy.
• Mirage — Morocco. Most played map historically. Mid-control focused.
• Inferno — Italy. Tight chokepoints, CT-sided. Famous for Banana.
• Nuke — USA. Vertically stacked bombsites. Heavily CT-sided.
• Ancient — Central America. Mesoamerican ruins, balanced mid-control.
• Anubis — Egypt. Re-added January 2026 for Premier Season 4.
• Overpass — Germany. Creative boost spots, water connector.

Map Veto

In Premier, both teams take turns banning maps until one remains. Map veto strategy is an important part of competitive preparation.
