Map Callouts

Map Callouts are standardized location names used by Counter-Strike 2 players to communicate enemy positions, grenade locations, and strategic information during matches. Knowing callouts is essential for competitive play.

Overview

Every competitive map in CS2 has dozens of named locations that the community has established over years of play. These callouts are used in voice chat and text communication to quickly convey precise positional information to teammates.

Universal Callouts

Some callouts are used across all or most maps:

Callout Meaning
A Site / B Site The two bombsites on bomb defusal maps
CT Spawn Counter-Terrorist starting area
T Spawn Terrorist starting area
Mid Central area of the map connecting both sides
Long Extended straight corridor/path (usually to A site)
Short Shorter route (usually to A site)
Connector Passage connecting mid to a site or area
Heaven / Boost Elevated position overlooking a site
Hell Low position or area beneath an elevated spot
Pit Recessed area, often at the end of a path
Jungle Vegetated or cluttered area near a site
Catwalk / Cat Narrow elevated walkway
Ramp Sloped pathway to a site
Window Position at or near a window opening
Door Area near a doorway or entrance
Default Standard plant position or common hold position
Back Site Far side of a bombsite from main entry
Close Near position relative to the speaker
Deep Far back in an area, away from the action
