Grenades (utility) are the tactical backbone of competitive Counter-Strike 2. Proper grenade usage separates top-level play from casual matches. CS2 introduced volumetric smoke grenades that react to bullets and explosions.
Available Grenades
- Smoke Grenade ($300) — Blocks vision for ~18 seconds, volumetric in CS2
- Flashbang ($200) — Blinds enemies, carry up to 2
- HE Grenade ($300) — Area damage, up to 98 on unarmored
- Molotov (T, $400) / Incendiary (CT, $600) — Area denial fire, extinguished by smoke
